Machine of Creation

Info

Artwork In brief

Machine of Creation began with a simple yet radical idea: a universe designed with beauty as its operating system. While in reality beauty is hard to find and often demands care and creative effort, in this reimagined universe it becomes the core principle—like the laws of physics—around which everything is orchestrated.

In this realm, evolution favors forms that captivate the eye. Organisms, ecosystems, even the raw physics and materials of existence are sculpted for visual allure. Substances flow fluidly and take on ever-shifting, eye-pleasing forms. Landscapes unfold like living paintings. All things emerge from—and ultimately return to—a primeval sea: a silent origin that gives rise to ever-new worlds in an eternal cycle of aesthetic becoming.

Is this an escape from our imperfect world—or a mirror reflecting what we long for most? Machine of Creation invites the viewer to ponder: what kind of world would we build if we could start again—free from the constraints of current reality, with beauty as the sole blueprint? With rapidly evolving AI technologies, these simulations are becoming ever more lifelike. See also Earth 2.0: Regenesis, which explores similar themes.

Orchestra Impossible’s music provides the driving pulse behind the film’s narrative.
